Umbilical Cord Blood Processing

CAC Diagnostics is thrilled to announce the establishment of umbilical cord blood storage so that parents can preserve the blood, rich in stem cells, for future medical treatment of their child or potentially other family members. Stem cells are so named since they are responsible for the creation of all the cells in the body which "stem" from these embryonic lipids. Stem cells are especially important in the development of the immune system and the body’s ability to ward off infection. Stem cells have been successfully utilized to treat leukemia and other cancer, in addition to
some types of anemia and sickle cell diseases. There is a much greater likelihood that the stored blood can be employed later in life to treat medical problems than stem cells derived from other sources.

Setup & Storage Fees

The initial processing of your sample is $990, with payment plans available. Other storage firms charge over $1,000, with the norm being between $1,200-$1,400. The annual storage fee is $100 automatically charged to your credit card. Why do we charge less? Because as a medical research laboratory, our operating overhead is much lower and that savings is passed on to you. Furthermore, every cord blood sample is screened for HIV, pathogens, and select disease biomarkers in our state-of-the-art laboratory. Our research team is under the direction of a Nobel Laureate and includes engineers, scientists, and internationally renowned physicians. Finally, Connecticut Analytical Corporation has been in business for more than 15 years, so you can be assured we have extensive experience in science and technology.

Genetic Tissue Storage

In addition to infant umbilical cord blood storage, CAC Diagnostics offers long term DNA sample storage which can employed later in life, in conjunction with applicable PCR amplification, for disease identification and mitigation.
